Drama (Secondary)

The Years 7 and 8 drama students enjoyed a stunning performance of the Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of STORM BOY. It was a memorable event for all.

English and Humanities (Secondary)

The focus in Year 9 English has been on THE OUTSIDERS and HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE. The students enjoyed studying both texts and I believe the reason for this is because the texts are relevant to young people and the protagonists in both texts are teenagers. There was also an emphasis on comparative essay writing.

In Year 9 humanities the focus has been on geographical concepts, tourism and trade.

In Year 10 humanities the focus has been on environmental change and management as well as sustaining urban environments.

The students have worked hard to achieve satisfactory outcomes. I hope in Term 4 they will all be as eager and continue to work hard.
